PLANNING THIRD ANNUAL ST. PATTY’S OPEN TO BENEFIT COMMUNITY
RELEASE DATE: Feb. 26, 2008
Members of Quota International of Indiana are finalizing plans for the third annual St. Patty’s Open, a nine-hole, indoor golf tournament to support Downtown Indiana and local charities in the Indiana community.
The event will be held March 14 with registration at 5:30 p.m. Upstairs at the Coney, with 5:45 p.m. shotgun start at participating Downtown Indiana businesses: Upstairs at the Coney, Cozumel, Culpeppers, Boomerang’s, Al Patti’s, Spaghetti Benders and Wolfendale’s.
A limited number of openings for teams are still available. Only 36 teams of golfers will be accepted for participation.
A new addition to this year’s St. Patty’s Day Open is a special “hole in one” competition, hosted this year by The Coney Island and sponsored by Michael Smith from Massaro Construction.
Wilmoth Interests, Fuhrer Sales and Service, Massaro Construction, Digital Razor and Wolfendales are marquee sponsors for the event. More than 30 other businesses are participating as event sponsors and tee sponsors for the project. Event and tee sponsorships are still available and can be arranged by calling Megan White, 724-349-9093, or Carol McQuaide, 724-463-0512 or Jenn Myers at 724-465-3450.
In January, Quota of Indiana, in partnership with The Coney Island, raised $5,000 for the Alice Paul House during its fifth annual Alice Paul House fundraising event. To date, Quota International of Indiana has raised and donated more than $18,000 to the Alice Paul House.
Quota International of Indiana is also a Bronze Sponsor for the Downtown Indiana Renaissance Indiana revitalization project.
The Club continues an active schedule of community service in addition to support of the Alice Paul House, including a mentoring program for girls and teens; donations of speech and hearing textbooks to area doctor’s offices, aging services and nursing homes; and will donate a third sound amplification device to the Penns Manor School District this spring.
