QUOTA OF INDIANA MAKES DONATION TO
GRACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
July 23, 2008
Quota International of Indiana made a financial donation to Grace United Methodist Church of Indiana to provide interpreter services for deaf and hard of hearing individuals.
Service to deaf and hard of hearing individuals and assistance to disadvantaged women and children are the international organization’s key service missions.
For the last two years, the club has sponsored interpreter services at the Indiana County Leader’s Circle program.
Club members recently raised $100 during a Mary Kay makeover event to be split between Quota service projects and the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation.
In August, members of the club will be volunteers with the Altoona Miracle League, a program to help handicapped children play baseball in a specially designed field. This program is an initiative of Quota International of Altoona. Quotarians from Indiana learned about this volunteer opportunity at the recent Quota District Three conference, hosted in April by Quota of Indiana. District Three includes Indiana, Altoona, Blairsville, Hermitage, Johnstown, New Castle and Shenango Valley clubs.
Club members also heard a report from Quota’s International Convention held in July in San Jose, Calif., from delegate Michelle Fryling.
