Quota International of Indiana, Pa. Inc. and The Coney Island Restaurant are actively planning for the 2012 ninth annual Alice Paul House event upstairs at the Coney on Jan. 26th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The event is expected to raise almost $5,000 for the Alice Paul House.
This year, the evening will include entertainment by The Current, which includes Max Bizousky, Adam Hess, Stefan Petrigac and Matt Snyder.
Over the past eight years, Quota and The Coney have together raised more than $36,000 to support initiatives for women and children at the Alice Paul House, including a new playground at the facility. Quotarians also collect specific items of need throughout the club year for the Alice Paul House.
Tickets for the event are $25 per person and include hors d’ouevres and beverage sampling, courtesy of several area vendors. Raffle items also will be available during the event. All proceeds from ticket sales and other special events during the evening go to the Alice Paul House.
Tickets are available from any Quotarian or by calling event co-chairs Meghan Foulk at 724-622- 6919 or Jenn Myers, 724-422-4362.
“We are extremely fortunate to have all of those involved, again this year, donate everything in order for all of the proceeds from the event to be donated directly to the Alice Paul House,” Foulk said. Cats-Up Graphics, owned by Stacy Long, donated ticket design and printing as well.
On March 16th, 2012, Quota of Indiana will also host the seventh annual St. Patty’s Day Open for charitable initiatives in the community.
The Club continues an active schedule of community service in addition to support of the Alice Paul House, including a mentoring program for children and teens; distribution of ear plugs at community events to build awareness of the importance of hearing protection and speech and hearing issues; support for families through the Salvation Army Treasures for Children program, the first and second Back to School Bash, Big Hearts Little Hands program at the Indiana County YMCA, ICCAP homeless shelter; Healing Hearts; and many other community service initiatives. Quota of Indiana also has donated three sound amplification devices to area schools and supports Deaf Awareness Day at the Indiana Mall.
Quota International of Indiana has been a Bronze Sponsor for the Downtown Indiana Renaissance Indiana revitalization project.
