QUOTA INTERNATIONAL OF INDIANA INC. INSTALLS NEW MEMBER
Jan. 28, 2009

Quota International of Indiana, Pa.  Inc. formally installed new member Meg Carmella Mill, of Indiana, at its January meeting on Jan. 28.

Quotarians also made final plans for the sixth annual Alice Paul House fundraiser set for Jan. 29. Over the past five years, Quota and The Coney have together raised almost $23,000 to support initiatives for women and children at the Alice Paul House, including a new playground at the facility. Quotarians also collect specific items of need throughout the year for the Alice Paul House.

Quotarians are actively planning for the fourth annual St. Patty’s Day Open on March 6, a nine-hole, indoor golf tournament to support Downtown Indiana and local charities in the Indiana community. Quota International of Indiana is a Bronze Sponsor for the Downtown Indiana Renaissance Indiana revitalization project.

Participating Downtown Indiana businesses hosting a golf hole are Al Patti’s, Boomerang’s, Cozumel, Culpeppers, Spaghetti Benders, Upstairs at the Coney and Wolfendale’s. There are a limited number of openings for teams -- only 36 teams of golfers will be accepted for participation. The event will continue the “hole in one” competition, hosted again this year by The Coney Island and sponsored by Michael Smith from Massaro Construction. The participation team fee is $250, and tee sponsorships also are available for $100.

Quota International Inc. is a 90-year-old international service organization that links members of all ages, occupations and nationalities in a worldwide network of service and friendship.  With a motto of "we share," Quotarians are known especially for their service to deaf, hard-of-hearing and speech impaired individuals and disadvantaged women and children.
